Payments & Sales Tax covers the financial side of the Slab Dynasty ecosystem — everything from the methods you can use to check out, to how sales tax is calculated, to how and when you get paid for marketplace and auction activity. The platform supports modern, flexible payment options and fast payouts so your collecting experience remains smooth, secure, and uninterrupted.

Whether you’re buying packs, making offers, completing an auction win, or receiving proceeds from a sale, all payments move through Slab Dynasty’s secure Stripe-backed infrastructure.

Accepted Payment Methods

Slab Dynasty offers a wide range of supported payment options so you can fund your activity however you prefer.

You can pay with:

  • Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
  • Debit cards
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Stripe Link
  • Bank transfers
  • Cryptocurrency (USDC) through Stripe’s crypto checkout
  • Supported USDC wallets like MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Ledger, and others

Crypto payments are currently in beta through Stripe. Mobile users may receive better wallet linking performance by completing the transaction on desktop or using MetaMask Mobile.

Prepaid cards are not supported.

How Payouts Work

When you sell a card on the Marketplace or through an Auction, payments process quickly and reliably:

  • Wallet & credit card purchases clear instantly
  • ACH purchases clear in 1–3 business days
  • Once cleared, the sale proceeds are added directly to your Slab Dynasty Wallet

When you want funds withdrawn, your Wallet balance transfers immediately to your Stripe Connect Seller Account, and Stripe sends the payout to your bank or debit card.

Payout timing depends on your financial institution, but most complete within a few business days.

If you have onboarding or 2FA issues with your Stripe dashboard, Stripe Support assists directly.

Redemption Costs & Shipping Fees

Removing slabs from the Vault costs:

  • $2 per card
  • Shipping fees (based on address and destination)

Shipping fees remain consistent; there is no penalty for redeeming early or late, regardless of whether you choose to vault or ship at the time of purchase.

How Sales Tax Is Calculated

Sales tax is determined by the billing ZIP code you used in your most recent Stripe transaction. Stripe automatically applies the correct state and local tax rates during checkout.

Sales tax appears clearly:

  • On your checkout screen
  • In your order history
  • On relevant past transactions

Sales tax rules vary by state.

For example, some states may require tax on items purchased outside the state but used within a specific time window. Buyers who redeem items shortly after purchase may trigger tax obligations depending on state law.

If you’re unsure about how your state’s regulations apply, consult a tax professional.

Vaulting Preferences & Tax Effects

Your vaulting preference can influence tax handling:

  • If you choose Vault, tax may not apply at the time of purchase
  • If you choose Ship Immediately, sales tax is applied during checkout
  • If you change your mind after the fact, the tax implications follow your final choice

You can always update your vaulting preference in Settings before future purchases.

Why Use the Vault

Choosing to vault your slabs offers several benefits:

  • Secure, insured storage
  • Instant access to sell, trade, auction, or accept Buyback
  • Ability to manage your entire collection digitally
  • No need to handle or ship items manually
  • Freedom to redeem your slabs at any time

Vaulting unlocks the full utility of the Slab Dynasty ecosystem, especially for active buyers, sellers, and traders.
